July 4th Fireworks
Each year on Independence Day, the Town of
Valdese holds an impressive fireworks display on the football field
behind the Old Rock School.
The 4th of July Firework Show in Valdese has been regarded as one of
the most impressive firework displays in the area. With
fireworks that burst at a lower altitude (which allows for a more
brilliant display) and fireworks that contain a variety of swirls
and explosions, the 4th of July celebration in Valdese is guaranteed
to excite people of all ages.
The exciting show begins at sunset and can be
seen for several miles. The dashing furies of fire continue
for more than twenty minutes as the community and tourists project
their own 'ooohs' and 'ahhhhs'. The fireworks provide a
fitting closure to a day full of activities including celebrations
at the LPDA located on Laurel Street and the Trail of Faith.
